The house is over two hundred years old, and is in a prime location close to the centre of the town, without compromise to privacy, or tranquillity, and lovely views. The owner of Bridge View, Lynda Weatherley, is an avid local historian, who delights in the glorious beauty and character of the region, displayed in artworks and books throughout the house.

The accommodation comprises a large double room with an en-suite, and a single room. The large room has great views of the famous bridges of Berwick, and can be arranged as a twin, double or family room. The en-suite is delightful, and has a very spacious double shower with toiletries.

The single room has a lovely tranquil view of the garden, and an adjoining bathroom, with both a bath and a shower. Both rooms have flat screen TV's, hairdryers, and a complimentary selection of hot beverages.

Lynda makes a cracking full Borders breakfast, with real coffee, home made preserves, and using only fine local produce: Try Lynda's home made whisky marmalade, it's yummy! If you are vegetarian, just let Lynda know when you book, and she'll be delighted to make something especially for you.

The area is fantastic for walkers and cyclists, as well as having plenty of outdoor sports to enjoy including, golf, quad biking, horse riding, pony trekking, diving, clay pigeon shooting, and swimming.

If you are a nature lover you will find a wide variety of wildlife such as puffins and seals on the Farne Islands. If like Lynda you are a history buff, you'll love the castles, such as Alnwick, where Harry Potter was filmed, Bamburgh, the ancient seat of the Northumbrian kings, and Lindisfarne, the cradle of Christianity in England.
